Palimpsest is the jazz project of Tyrone Noonan, former frontman of the ARIA award-winning Australian band, george. The band fuses swing, Latin, soul, folk, and modern grooves, creating a timeless yet contemporary sound. Their debut album, featuring the track "I’ll Bet You Thought I’d Never Find You," was licensed for the top UK Nu Jazz compilation *Messin’ Around Vol. 5* and has been remixed by DJ Chikashi for *Jazz
Rooms* (Mr Bongo Records). Palimpsest's music has received airplay on influential shows like Gilles Peterson’s BBC Radio 6 and has been featured in clubs across the UK, Europe, and Australia. They have performed at prestigious events, including the Federal Budget Dinner at Canberra’s Parliament House, Queensland’s Millennium Arts Project launch, and major national festivals including Woodford and St Kilda Fest.
Tyrone's powerful vocals are backed by some of Australia’s top jazz musicians. The band, which debuted its self-titled album in 2004,
showcases the diverse talents of its members. Palimpsest continues to captivate audiences with their entrancing musical journeys across
