Steve Sedergreen Trio with special guest Harry Angus (ex The Cat Empire)
One of Melbourne's most charismatic and well-known jazz pianists, Steve Sedergreen met Harry Angus (trumpet/voice) way back in 2000, when he was a director of Dizzy’s Jazz Club in Richmond (inner neighbourhood of Melbourne). A group of young musicians Steve was mentoring at the time played and jammed there often, Harry joined in….the rest, as they say, is history! Harry Angus is an Australian singer-songwriter, trumpet player and guitarist, who was one of the lead vocalists in the successful Melbourne band The Cat Empire.
Steve Sedergreen and Harry Angus will be joined by bassist Samuel Vincent (Brisbane) and on drums, Andrew Smith (Brisbane/Melbourne). These outstanding musicians have individually made a vital and indelible imprint on the Australia jazz scene for decades and are now performing together as a quartet at the 20 March Hope Island Jazz and Cabaret Sessions. Expect to enjoy a fabulous mix of some fabulous Jazz Standards and stage chemistry.
This show is not to be missed!!! Book early to avoid disappointment.
